The City is seeking to hire a qualified consultant firm or team to provide professional land use planning services; specifically, to conduct the City s upcoming Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Code update. It is anticipated that the Comprehensive Plan will be developed over a year and a half after work begins with the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). The Consultant will work closely with the Planning and Zoning Commission, Technical Advisory Committee, and City Staff. The primary contact at the staff level will be the Planning and Zoning Director. A secondary contact, for reliance on digital mapping information, will be with the GIS/Automation staff and the Zoning Analyst. The Consultant will work with all of the above entities to define and establish the process of final approval and adoption of the Comprehensive Plan document by the City Council. The process will include an extensive public and private input process, numerous public meetings, and presentations to the Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council. The City of Pella reserves the right to reject any and all proposals if it is deemed in the best interest of the City. The City assumes no responsibility for costs incurred in responding to this RFP. Question Deadline 11/29/2023 at 2:00 PM CT All questions must be submitted no later than one week prior to the due date of the RFP submittal. Questions later than one week prior to submittal due date may not be considered. The Consultant Selection Committee will review the submitted proposals and make a selection based on the criteria requirements contained in this RFP.
