The consultant will collaborate with District personnel and their chosen landscape architect to create an interpretive master plan for Conservation Garden Park. Additionally, they will provide support in the execution of the upcoming garden expansion project. In 2023 the District began working on a new strategic plan. As part of the plan staff was asked to reevaluate the garden master plan. During the evaluation it was determined that a portion of the master plan would be redesigned to better fit the following objectives: 1. Enhance and emphasize education on outdoor water reduction 2. Upgrade Frontage/Entrance 3. Focus education efforts on "why" people should conserve, not just "how". 4. Bride the District-Garden gap and boost awareness of both 5. Expand the free community asset and give visitors a reason to come back. Conservation Garden Park is approaching its 25-year anniversary and many things have changed since its opening. Water issues have become more prominent and complicated. While attitudes and perceptions have changed over the years the Garden has not been updated to reflect this. The Garden was also built in phases by several different architects that has led to interpretive inconsistencies throughout the garden. An Interpretive Master Plan is needed to address these issues and clarify implementation of the outlined objectives Question Deadline: 11/09/2023, Proposers may ask questions or make suggestions to JVWCD on any element of this Request for SOQs.
