The current park bridge is starting to fail due to erosion and heavy water flow. Due to this, the Town of Kentville is seeking a proponent to build a new bridge in a slightly different location. The site is used for mountain biking and for all other types of active transportation. The Town of Kentville is seeking requests for proposals for the design build, supply and installation of a new park bridge at Gorge Park, 53 Gladys Porter Drive, Kentville, NS. The Town of Kentville seeks eligible proponents for the supply and installation of materials for the purpose of installing a new park bridge at the Gorge Park. The vendor shall conduct an on- site survey of the space to determine all necessary requirements for proper installation of the new bridge. The proponent shall include: All materials needed to build the bridge. Bridge to be built with natural hemlock boards. All equipment needed to complete the project. Any permits needed for the project. Stamped engineered drawings of the bridge prior to the start of the project. Any subcontractors to complete the work. Please provide a second quote for the cost to remove the existing bridge that is located on site. Question Deadline 11/07/2023 Notify Director, Parks and Recreation not less than two (2) working days before tender closing of omissions, errors or ambiguities found in Contract Document. If correction, explanation, or interpretation is necessary, a written addendum will be issued. All addenda will form part of the Contract Documents. Tender Awarded Decision: November 20, 2023
