The Kentville Skatepark was recently developed and the next step will be to install lighting around the playing surface to extended the playing season. The space is used for community members and programs, and is used by people of all ages. The Town of Kentville seeks eligible equipment and materials for the purpose of installing a lighting system for the Kentville Skate Park. The vendor shall conduct an on-site survey of the outdoor facility to determine all necessary requirements for proper installation of the LED lighting system. The proponent shall include: Electrical power-verification, design, and installation of the electrical system for proper operation Engineering verification and certification for lighting poles Design drawings are to be stamped by a Professional Engineer and used to get the needed construction permits The purchase and installation of all lighting components (light, pole, wiring, etc) Warranty of a minimum of 10 years All lighting materials/equipment shall be new, factory sealed equipment currently available from the manufacturer. Installation location will be determined by the proponent and final approval by the Town of Kentville Parks and Recreation department. The lighting will need to meet standards of an outdoor recreation skatepark. Each submission shall include all labor necessary for staging, installation of a new system, underground wiring, testing, and documentation of equipment. Prior to the acceptance of a proposal, an agreed upon timeline shall be established between both the Town of Kentville and the proponent. Any initial training of the lighting system will be provided and ongoing support if necessary. Proponents will be responsible for coordinating with all third party service providers.
