The Castanea Township Board of Supervisors reserve the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held for sixty (60) calendar days after opening. The Project involves designing and furnishing all components and hardware required for the erection of a pre-engineered, prefabricated steel beam bridge superstructure. Items shall include girders/stringers, diaphragms, bearing devices with anchor bolts, expansion devices, guide rail system, backwall plates, open grid steel flooring, and all bolts and hardware necessary for the assembly and installation of the bridge superstructure. The bridge deck shall be 20 feet overall length by 19 1/2 feet overall width. Skew angle is 90 degrees (PennDOT skew). Bidders should note that the design of the steel beam bridge superstructure must account for the difference in elevations of the existing abutments and approach roadways. All material bid prices must include delivery to the project site on Bridge Street (nearest street address for material deliveries is 30 Bridge Street, Lock Haven, PA 17745).
