Provide all labor, tools, equipment, material, supervision, insurance, and any other requisite for the construction of water system improvements including but not limited to: Erection of containment for plant components under construction, and protection of plant components to remain operational; Removal and disposal of clarifier and filter media; Demolition and removal of existing air wash and underdrain; Blasting of all surfaces interior to vessels, and spot brushing of exterior surfaces; Installation of structural repairs including steel, welding and spot repairs, as needed; Painting of all surfaces; Installation of new underdrain and air wash systems; Installation of new media; Disinfection; and Startup. The plant is arranged in two process trains. The work shall be executed in such manner that one side remains operational while the other side is under construction. When the first side is completed and returned to operation, construction for the second side shall commence. A cashier's check payable to the order of the South Tawakoni Water Supply Corporation, in the amount of five percent (5%) of bid, or, Bid Bond issued by a surety licensed to do business in Texas in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Bids may be held by the South Tawakoni Water Supply Corporation for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. CONTRACT INSURANCE: Requires Additional Insureds and subrogation waivers LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: $500.00 per calendar day
