Reference number : 1772806 Deadline for receiving complaints: 2023-11-02 Electronically transmitted submission accepted: Yes, in a single submission document Expected duration of the contract without options (in months): 10 The University of Montreal is issuing a public call for tenders with the aim of concluding a contract with a DEMOLITION AND DECONTAMINATION contractor as part of the project for the Reallocation of the spaces of the Roger-Gaudry and Marie-Victorin pavilions located on its mountain campus (main campus), which is carried out in construction management mode. This reallocation project is part of a long-term development vision for the University, established according to its Master Plan and which constitutes the phase following the construction of the Science Complex on the Outremont site (CSSO). The new pavilions that were created there, namely the science pavilion and the teaching pavilion and the library, made it possible to free up space on the project site. The project therefore consists of transforming the spaces directly affected by the transfer of activities to the CSSO, namely the Roger-Gaudry (PRG - East and West) and Marie-Victorin (PMV) pavilions, in order to reassign them and use them for other purposes. The project thus provides for the renovation, upgrading and adaptation of these buildings whose current configuration does not meet the functional needs of the units that will move there. This reallocation of spaces will also be an opportunity to implement a unit grouping strategy to correct the dispersion of academic units across several sites. The contractor-lot is informed of the following particularities concerning the Reallocation project: The work of the Reallocation project will take place in existing buildings whose physical condition, age, dilapidation and non-compliance with various codes and standards in force have a high level of complexity; The buildings present a heritage and iconic character of the mountain site as a whole which must be respected, as well as the distinctive architectural characteristics which must maintain their integrity; The execution of the work must allow the maintenance of services in buildings occupied by research, teaching and administrative functions, particularly in terms of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing, fire protection, evacuation, access; Work of varying nature and scale will be carried out by third-party contractors concurrently with the completion of the Reallocation project in the various buildings of the University; The work of this lot consists mainly of the supply of labor, materials, equipment, materials and services necessary to carry out all the selective demolition work as part of the redevelopment of the Marie-Victorin pavilion of the 'Montreal university. For further details refer to the scope of work in the technical documents. The pavilion, comprising 5 floors in total, has a length of 160 meters and an area of 43,347 m2 gross excluding the boiler room (wing H), or 24,347 m2 net, according to the current gross/net ratio. The redevelopment work affects 3 floors and involves 8,857 m2.
