The work shall consist of, but not limited to, clearing and grubbing (tree trimming or removal), placement of imported fill as indicated in the plans, approximately 4.95 miles of grading, and subgrade stabilization of existing dirt roads, placement and preparation of lime rock road base, paving with 1.5 thick Hot Mixed Asphalt, and drainage swales on twenty one (21) roads on various locations. The Putnam County Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. Putnam County complies with all federal statutes relating to non-discrimination. Bid Bond - Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond Payable to the County for Five Percent (5%) of the Total Amount of the Bid. As Soon as the Bid Prices Have Been Compared, the County Will Return the Bonds of All Except the Three Lowest Responsible Bidders. When the Agreement is Executed, the Bonds of the Two Remaining Unsuccessful Bidders Will Be Returned. The Bid Bond of the Successful Bidder Will Be Retained Until the Payment Bond and the Performance Bond Have Been Executed and Approved, After Which It Will Be Returned. A Certified Check May Be Used in Lieu of a Bid Bond. Question Deadline 11/13/2023 at 2:00 PM ET Questions concerning the specifications may also be emailed to Leigh Doran, Procurement Supervisor, at leigh.doran@putnam-fl.gov. Answers to questions received will be posted online with the bid documents. Questions must be received at least 7 days prior to bid opening.
