Contractors must be able to mobilize all necessary equipment and personnel to the designated site where the asphalt slabs are stockpiled. The contractor shall be able to self-load the crushing machinery from the stockpiled material. Crushed asphalt material must be of consistent 3/4" size, be efficient at managing debris and waste generated during the crushing process and demobilize all equipment and restore the project site to its original condition upon completion. This project will include a not to exceed contract amount of $200,000. The cost to crush the total amount of stockpiled asphalt slabs is anticipated to be more than the contact amount. The City of Montrose with the mutual agreement from the contractor shall have additional, one year renewal options (up to three (3) years total) to extend the contract based upon satisfactory performance and price stability. The City is seeking a qualified contractor to provide asphalt crushing services. The primary objective of this project is the conversion of stockpiled asphalt slabs into 3/4" size material, suitable for reuse or repurposing. The City of Montrose is requesting proposals through the request for proposal process to crush the City's stockpiled Asphalt slabs. Department Services, Purchasing, and Open Bids. Addenda will be posted to the website and it is the bidder's responsibility to download, review, sign, and include addenda with their bid. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities and to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids.
