This project is included in the City of Framingham fiscal years 2024-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of October 23, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. A firm timeline for construction has not been established; however, funding is allotted to fiscal years 2025-2026. A detailed scope has not yet been released. The proposed project would involve the design and implementation of an air-source heat pump system for Fire Station #7 to provide efficient heating and cooling for building occupants. Cooling is currently provided by window units which are not able to serve all spaces in the facility. The proposed improvement would result in more efficient cooling as well as reduce reliance on the building`s natural gas boiler.
