All questions concerning this RFP must be in writing and should be directed to Katie Lockhart no later than November 6, 2023 by 5:00 p.m. EST: Katie Lockhart, Parks & Nature Superintendent klockhart@garnernc.gov Project Overview The Town of Garner (Town) is seeking bids from qualified Contractors for the purchase, delivery, assembly, and installation (following manufacturers' recommendations) of picnic tables, benches, trash receptacles, and other park furnishings in Town parks. This RFP states the instructions for submitting proposals, the specifications for the work, and the procedure and criteria by which a Contractor may be selected. Insurance The successful Contractor shall not begin work until it has given the Town evidence of all required insurance coverage (including all additional insured endorsements) and the Town has issued a formal Notice to Proceed. Contractors must submit a certificate of liability insurance with the Town of Garner named as additional insured and meet the following liability limits (a, b, & c) if awarded a contract: a. Comprehensive Automobile Liability: Bodily injury and property damage liability of at least $1,000,000.00 for each occurrence covering all owned, non-owned, and hired vehicles. b. Comprehensive, General Liability: Bodily injury and property damage liability limits of at least $1,000,000.00 for each occurrence/ $2,000,000 aggregate. Such insurance must include contractual liability, personal injury hazards A, B, and C, broad form property damage, environmental, and products/completed operations. c. Worker's Compensation: Coverage A - Statutory. Coverage B - $1,000,000 Accident/$1,000,000 Disease- Policy limit/ $1,000,000 each employee. Scope of Work The detailed specifications are listed on the following pages. Unless otherwise specified, any manufacturers' names or brand names listed below are descriptive, not restrictive. The bidder may offer any product that meets or exceeds the applicable specifications. The bidder must demonstrate comparability, including appropriate specifications that provide detailed information on manufacturer, warranty, materials, test data, etc. This will be a turn-key project with the contractor supplying all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to complete the project according to specifications. Jackie Johns, Sr. Community Park: 508 Rand Mill Road, Garner, NC 27529 d. Jaycee Park, 1300 Vandora Springs Road, Garner, NC 27529 e. Lake Benson Park, 921 Buffaloe Road, Garner, NC 27529 f. South Garner Park, 1210 Poole Drive, Garner, NC 27529 g. White Deer Park, 2400 Aversboro Road, Garner, NC 27529 Schedule Project must be completed within three months of Notice to Proceed. Please note that additional time may be authorized at the discretion of the Director of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources only if the successful bidder can demonstrate that supply chain conditions impact the delivery of the contracted items.
