Historic Courthouse Plaster Repair and Paint. All questions must be received no later than 2:00 PM on 11/3/2023. Any question received after this deadline may not be answered. Scope of the Work The Scope of the Work is Described in the Bid Specifications and Contract Documents, Including Without Limitation the Bid Form, Which Are Incorporated Herein by This Reference. Description of Scope St Charles County's Historic Courthouse building has original plaster walls in certain areas. Over time, those walls have incurred some cracking, peeling, and flaking. The areas most impacted are leading up to the third floor and in the Third-floor rotunda ceiling area, which were caused by higher humidity and condensation. Scope of Work: The area of work is defined by the columns at the base of the two open stairs leading to a landing and the up to the Third floor. The walls on either side of the stairs, the exterior wall with the stained-glass windows and the stairs surrounding the open rotunda on the Third floor are all original plaster. The area of work also includes the rounded ceiling up to the rotunda tower. Areas are broken down to the following for pricing. 1. Stairs - the area starting at the column at Second floor (main entrance floor) to the column edge on Third floor. 2. Third Floor - the area above the wainscot up to the underside of the rotunda tower. 3. Alternate 1 Rotunda Tower - the full tower from the crown molding to the top of the rotunda. Liquidated Damages Not Used Bonds: Performance Bond - a 100% Performance and Payment Bond in Favor of the Owner. The Security Co. Representing Contractor Must Be Authorized to Do Business in the State of Missouri and Be Approved by Owner. Performance and Payment Bond Will Be Required if Project is $50,000.00 or Greater.
