The Project consists of effluent filter improvements for the 12 million gallon per day (mgd) Northwest Cobb Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) and for the 20 mgd Noonday Creek Water Reclamation Facility. The contract time for construction of the project is 730 calendar days (two years). The project consists of the following major items: Northwest Cobb WRF Filter Upgrades: Replacement of four sand filter systems in Filter Basins 1-4 at Northwest Cobb WRF with AquaDiamond cloth media filter systems. Installation of a canopy at Filter Basins 1-4 at Northwest Cobb WRF Upgrades to yard piping into and out of the filter basins as shown on the drawings at Northwest Cobb WRF. Installation of a new plug valve to cut off flow to the existing Filter Basins 5-8 at Northwest Cobb WRF. Installation of new weirs for the filter basins. Demolition and disposal of equipment and materials, as shown on the drawings. Instrumentation and electrical system upgrades to accommodate the above improvements.
