The City of Torrington is seeking sealed bid proposals from established vendors to provide services for the complete abatement and removal of tile flooring containing asbestos, as outlined in the report dated July 17, 2023, by Mystic Air Quality. The building is located at 107 Arthur Street, Torrington, CT 06790 The selected contractor will be responsible for the safety and security of the work site and must follow all Federal and/or State of CT laws and regulations and provide documentation of proper disposal of the asbestos containing materials to the City of Torrington. Any alleged oral agreement made by a bidder or contractor with any agency or employee of the City of Torrington shall be disregarded. The City of Torrington reserves the right to award or reject any or all bids, or any portion thereof; to waive technicalities; to award the contract to a bidder other than the lowest bid, and to award the bid and/or contracts to one or more bidders submitting essentially identical proposals and, that in the citys judgment, will best serve the public interest. Deadline for questions is Friday, October 27, 2023 by 12:00 NOON
