Furnish and Install All Labor, Materials, Tools, Plant and Equipment to Completely Install Satmar Drive - Sidewalk Improvements. Complete Per Lump Sum. Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond acceptable to the Owner, in an amount equal to at least 5% of the Proposal, payable without condition to the Owner, as a guaranty that the Bidder, if awarded the Contract, will promptly execute the Agreement in accordance with the Proposal and the other Contract Documents, and will furnish good and sufficient bond for the faithful performance of the same, and for the payment to all persons supplying labor and material for the work. The successful Bidder, simultaneously with the execution of the Contract, will be required to furnish a faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount and a Labor and Material Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Amount; said Bonds shall be secured from a surety company satisfactory to the Owner. The Contractor shall conform to the "General Prevailing Wage Scale" currently in effect, as prepared by the New York State Department of Labor. Prevailing rates to be paid are those that are in effect at the time the work is being performed. The current rates are appended hereto and made a part of the Contract Documents. Minority and Women's Business Enterprises as well as Section 3 Business Enterprises are strongly encouraged to apply. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bidders of This Work Will Be Required to Comply With the President's Executive Orders #11246 and #11375.
