DESCRIPTION OF WORK The proposed improvement consists of testing and sealing 39 - ( 6" ) sanitary sewer service laterals of Transite pipe material at the mainline lateral interface and up to 3 feet from the mainline including cutting protruding laterals as necessary. INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS Specifications and proposal forms may be obtained from the Village Clerk at 201 South Bloomingdale Road, Bloomingdale, IL, 60108. PRE-QUALFICATION All bidders shall certify that they have successfully grouted a minimum of 12,000 mainline joints and 1,000 lateral connections and are an approved installer of the grout product by the manufacturer. PREVAILING WAGES The successful Contractor shall comply with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act requirements (820 ILCS 130/1-12) for this contract including submission of certified payroll requirements and the employment of Illinois workers during periods of excessive unemployment. BID SECURITY All Proposals must be accompanied by a Bank Cashier's Check, Bank Draft, Certified Check or Bidder's Bond, made payable to the Treasurer of the Village of Bloomingdale, for not less than five (5) percent of the total bid. REJECTION OF BIDS The President and Board of Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all technicalities.
