The Project seeks to provide 240 specialized Long-Term care ("LTC") beds, and additional services, to meet the full range of residents' needs aimed at both quality of care and quality of life and will align with provincial health system goals and LTC policies, guidelines, and standards. The Project seeks to provide 240 specialized Long-Term care ("LTC") beds, and additional services, to meet the full range of residents' needs aimed at both quality of care and quality of life and will align with provincial health system goals and LTC policies, guidelines, and standards. The key attributes of the Project include: A floor design framework "X", accommodating 60 beds (4 units of 15 beds) per floor for the facility, to a total of 240 beds to service specialized care residents; Unit hubs to support each unit; A community centre and support services; Outdoor courtyard spaces that support residents' wellbeing; Collaboration and support spaces integrated into healthcare; and Common space that allows staff to gather and connect.
