The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids to repair of roof vent, bathroom ceiling and windows on the Mille Lacs Kathio State Park Trail Center building. All questions should be directed to the buyer listed in this event The State reserves the right to: o Require Responders to conduct presentations, demonstrations, or submit samples; o Award by item (including category, location, etc.), by groups of items, or all items, therefore, the Responder is encouraged to offer a response for all items; o Award by location; and o Interview key personnel or references Mille Lacs Kathio Window Replacements - Remove the two existing damaged windows on back of the building. - Repair opening if needed to remove all damaged or rotting wood. - Prepare opening for windows with current standard practices applying a barrier tape to the sill of the opening, and properly sealing the sides to prevent water intrusion. - Install new vinyl high performance Low-E glass windows in dual or triple pane construction. Installation of window to conform with current industry standards. Windows can be in a slider or casement configuration. The color of the windows must be white or dark brown. Color must be approved by project manager. - Repair the siding and exterior finish to produce a permanent weathertight seal with proper drip cap and Trim. - Paint all new trim and siding to match current paint color of building siding. - Install trim on interior of window to provide a finished appearance. Stain/ paint trim to match existing trim in room/ building. Trim contour shall match existing or be approved by project manager. - Remove all construction debris. Mille Lacs Kathio: Moving Roof Vents and Bathroom Ceiling Repair Roof Vents - Remove old vents. - Install two new roof vents away from the upper roof overhang one truss space further than the existing vents. If the vents are being utilized for bath fan venting, then appropriately designed vents shall be installed and connected to the exhaust lines for the fans. The vents shall be installed and incorporated with the roof system properly to be weathertight and to perform per the manufacture's specifications. - Patch holes in roof sheathing and replace roof coverings with matching products to provide a weathertight and finished appearance at the location of the removed vents. - Pick up all construction debris and remove from site. Ceiling repair - The damaged ceiling area/s in the bathroom/s below the vents shall be repaired and repainted to achieve a continuous texture and color on the entire ceiling of the bathroom/s as needed
