ADA Consulting Services. Questions Deadline: 10/31/2023 01:00 PM (CT) The Lee's Summit School R7 School District is issuing an RFP for consulting services to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the District's buildings and grounds for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The District is inviting proposals from qualified and experienced firms that can assist with updating the existing ADA Transition Plan dated January 20, 1994. The updated Transition Plan shall include recommendations for phased corrective work. The consultant's recommendations should differentiate between what is required by law and what is perhaps not required but worthy of consideration. Recommendations shall be developed to meet accessibility standards and are prioritized to comply with ADA Title II Section 35.150 requirements that, at a minimum. Identify physical obstacles in the public entity's facilities that limit the accessibility of its programs or activities to individuals with disabilities. Describe in detail the methods that will be used to make the facilities accessible Projected cost estimates for each of the recommendations shall be included in the Transition Plan to assist with capital improvement plans to bring facilities into compliance. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids in part or in whole, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the District. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
