Building renovation to Toronto Community Housing Eagle Manor Apartments at 1901 Weston Road, to implement exterior building envelope renovation, enhance energy efficiency and improve functionality, aesthetics and quality of life. The scope of work includes: i. Rehabilitation and new over cladding of the building; ii. Replacement of exteriors windows and doors; iii. Upgrades on ventilation (HVAC) system; iv. Reduction of energy consumption and increase of thermal efficiency; v. Commercial podium and ground parking roof rehabilitation and utilization; vi. Rehabilitation of community roof garden and implementation of green roof system; vii. Concrete repairs on commercial podium and ground parking roofs parapets; and viii. Accessibility improvements at roof community garden. TIMELINE: As of December 2022 Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC) has awarded a Request For Proposals seeking a Prime Consultants for this project and the Arletta Avenue Building Envelope Restoration. The awarded proponents will provide design services in six (6) phases. Only phases 1 to 3 shall be awarded as it has received budgetary approval. Purchase order for phases 4 to phase 6 will be issued upon budgetary approval and vendor performance. TCHC has evaluated and awarded each location separately to the highest ranked Proposal. Design is underway. Tender and construction schedules are expected in 2024.
