The City of Norfolk is seeking a responsible vendor to provide a Liquid Oxygen Storage and Vaporization System (LOX System) according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. The City is seeking a responsible vendor to provide a Liquid Oxygen Storage and Vaporization System according to the terms, conditions, and specifications of this solicitation. The City uses hypolimnetic aeration in the Western Branch and Lake Prince Reservoirs to maintain raw water quality and treatability. The existing system has reached the end of its useful life and will be replaced with a free bubble oxygenation system as part of the Western Branch and Lake Prince Aerator Replacement Project. A LOX System will be installed at the Western Branch Pumping Station to supply oxygen to the new FBO System. The Contractor shall provide a LOX System to include leased equipment and purchase price for liquid oxygen supply. The project shall include all services, supplies, materials, equipment, and labor for the installation of a LOX System that will supply oxygen to the FBO System. In addition, the City is requesting bids for LOX chemical purchases. The total liquid oxygen requirement is anticipated to be between 1,650 and 2,310 tons per year. Contractor shall have service facilities, parts warehouses, and liquid oxygen facilities located in sufficient vicinity to Norfolk, Virginia that deliveries, service calls and repairs can be made within the required timeframes. The Contractor shall maintain the equipment in proper working condition at all times throughout the term of the Agreement. The Contractor shall provide full shop drawings to the City within two (2) months of contract execution. Fabrication and delivery shall be completed within six (6) months of approved shop drawings. Equipment installation shall be completed within one (1) month of receipt of all equipment. The Contractor shall work with the City to ensure all permits are in place and installation meets permitting requirements. At the end or termination of the Agreement the Contractor shall remove all equipment associated with the Agreement at no additional cost to the City. Question Deadline October 26, 2023 The rights and remedies of the City provided in this Section are in addition to any other rights and remedies provided by law or under this Agreement and City may pursue any and all such rights and remedies against Contractor as it deems appropriate.
