Pavement Rehabilitation - Taxiways - This is a major need of the airport and is only shown as late in the CIP as it is due to available funding. The joints are in need of significant work. Attempts to seal the joints have not been successful due to the size of the voids under the joint -the sealant isn’t able to fill the void. Evaluation of use a backer rod or other material before joint sealant was reviewed, but not cost effective with the a muchneeded rehabilitation project just a few years out. The estimate shown in last years CIP was not updated from the previous year and there has been significant cost increases in these projects since the start of the pandemic. To accommodate these multi-year increases, we are estimating a 40% project increase since these estimates were previously prepared by CGA. Again, we plan to utilize the CIP Planning Study to provide better estimates in the scope and cost of this project in FY24 to aid in planning for FY26. A 40% increase results in total project cost of $2,660,000, as we are now showing in our CIP. Fiscal year 2023-2027 *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change. The content management team will continue to pursue additional details as they become available.
