The Public Water Supply District #1 of Nodaway County is accepting Design/Build proposals from qualified firms. This project is intended to increase the District's ability to provide service to both east and west of the Platte River near Conception Junction. The District has an existing clearwell and booster pump station located east of the river and a 4" river crossing feeding the clearwell. When complete, the project should enable the District to provide 125-150 gallons per minute to either side of the river steady state flow and enable the District to bypass the clearwell while pending for future pump installation at that facility. The project is subject to Federal and State prevailing wages and other labor provisions. A 5% bid bond for construction items is required with the proposal. The selected firm will need to show proof of appropriate engineering and construction staff, with the engineer being licensed in the state of Missouri. The firm must also have standard E&O design insurance. The selected firm must complete design documents in accordance with Missouri DNR rules and regulations, meet with and coordinate easements (costs of which to be borne by the District) and construct the project in accordance with the District's policy and prudent utility practice. The District is an Equal Opportunity Employer and reserves the right to select the firm it deems most capable of providing the required services.
