The Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District generates approximately 7,000,000 gallons of liquid municipal sewage sludge annually at the Southwest Treatment Plant located at 2404 South Rising Road, in Champaign, Illinois. The Northeast Plant is located at 1110 East University Avenue, Urbana, IL. The travel time between the two plants is approximately 30 minutes. transportation of liquid municipal sewage sludge for a four-year period of January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2027. All inquiries relating to this request shall be addressed in writing to: Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District Wade Lagle, Director of Operations P. O. Box 669 Urbana, Il 61803-0669 Or by email to: wlagle@u-csd.com Each bid must be submitted using the form provided in this document in a sealed envelope marked "Liquid Sludge Transportation Bid- 11/9/23". If submitted by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope. Mailing labels should be addressed to: Urbana & Champaign Sanitary District P.O. Box 669 Urbana, IL 61803 - 0669 The District reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all bids, and determine the lowest and best bids for the transportation of liquid municipal sewage sludge during the contract period. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided with the Bidding Documents. Attention of Bidders is directed to the fact that the District is not required to pay Federal Excise or State Sales Tax. All bids will be opened and publicly read aloud during the course of business. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty (40) days following said opening.
