The City of Maricopa owns and operates Maricopa City Park, an aging community park located on two parcels totaling 0.85 +/- acres at the northern terminus of San Joaquin Street in the city of Maricopa. Several years ago, Maricopa City Council sought acquisition of three parcels owned by Aera Energy (Kern County APN 042-154-04; 042154-06; 042-174-01) for construction of a new/expanded park. In 2019, Aera Energy offered an irrevocable dedication of the above parcels totaling 2.29 +/- acres to the City of Maricopa with the caveat that the site be used for community parks and recreation facilities and service. All three parcels have been vacant land for at least the past 100 years The City of Maricopa, California is Requesting Qualifications for Construction Management Services from firms or individuals duly registered and licensed to practice in the State of California to manage the construction of certain improvements associated with the rehabilitation and expansion of Maricopa City Park located in the city of Maricopa, Kern County, California.
