The Project consists of constructing 16-inch water mains along U.S. Hwy. 231 South and State Line Road to connect to an existing 8" water main and 6" water main and associated appurtenances. Additional sets for non-Bidders, Bidders who obtain more than one set of Bidding Documents, subcontractors, vendors, or dealers will be refunded as stated above less the cost of printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. All Bidders bidding in amounts exceeding that established by the State Licensing Board for General Contractors must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must show evidence of license before bidding or Bid will not be received or considered by the Owner. The Bidder shall show evidence by including its current license number during registration and clearly displaying on the outside of the sealed envelope in which the Bid is delivered. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive technical errors if, in the Owner's judgment, the best interest of the Owner will thereby be promoted. The Owner further reserves the right to negotiate price and time with the low bidder. The project includes the construction of 16-inch water mains along U.S. Hwy. 231 South and State Line Road as shown in the plans.
