Questions: All questions related to this project are to be submitted through the ION Wave Bid system on or before the cut off date of October 29, 2023 at 10:00 PM CST as indicated in the solicitation. The Iowa Department of Transportation is seeking bids for; Tipton 600T Salt Storage Roof Replacement located at 2092 Moscow County Road X54, Tipton, IA 52760. Remove and replace 2 layers shingles and paper; dispose of properly. Install per drawing. Install new ice and water shield over entire roof. Install wood furring, new flashing, ridge and new exposed fastener PBR ribbed metal roof panels 3'wide x full length. Provide sample of ribbed metal roof 22 guage with spec sheet and standard color selection. Provide 15 year MFG warranty. Existing gutters to remain intact. Contractors may bid either a metal roof replacement of a 25-year shingle roof replacement. Please see Line Items tab for details. Note: IDOT will select from Line Item #1 or Line Item #2 for this project. Only 1 award will be issued for this project. These line items are not tied. Contractor may bid on both lines separately, or each line individually. Estimated start date -11/30/2023 Estimated project end date- 05/31/2024 A site visit is recommended to verify measurement and will be accommodated if needed prior to submitting a bid to ensure the vendor has access to view the job site. To schedule a site visit, contractors must contact the Purchasing Agent overseeing the bid at kyle.williams@iowadot.us with a date and time of when you want to conduct a site visit. Please schedule and conduct all site visits prior to 10/29/2023. Contractors will be required to bring their own equipment needed for the site visit. Davis-Bacon wages do not apply.
