This project is for a building addition for Shelby County Fire Station #1. The following work includes but is not limited to: Demolition and removal of existing concrete, concrete curbs, and asphalt. Construction of additional vehicle bay. Construction will consist of a pre-engineered building adjacent to the existing building. The exterior will be a partial CMU wall. There will be (4) overhead doors. Electrical, HVAC, and plumbing will be added for the new addition. Sealed bids containing the project name and contractors name are due November 9, 2023, by 3:00 pm at Shelby County Fire Station # 1 located at the address listed above on the bid form issued by the architect and submitted in triplicate where they will be opened publicly and read aloud. No decision will be made at that time. Keyes Architects will then tabulate all bids to present to Shelby County Fiscal Court. This project is not a prevailing wage project. A 5% bid bond must be submitted with the bid. A letter showing proof of contractor's material and payment bond availability is also required at bidding. The costs of the 100% payment and performance bond and 5% bid bond must be included in the base bid. This project is to include all applicable sales tax. All general contractors that wish to bid must register with the Architect to receive bid packages, addenda and further information.
