The City of Eudora (Owner Rep) will receive sealed bids until the date and time stated above for the exterior renovation and modernizations of a 2-story historic building in downtown Eudora, KS. The Work includes (3) Base Bid items that will be awarded separately. Base Bid 1 includes cleaning, pointing sealing and other restoration work items for exterior masonry surfaces. Base Bid 2 includes replacement of hung windows as specified. Base Bid 3 includes demolition of the existing storefronts and replacement with new storefront system. Please note that all bidders should try to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and shall verify that they have inspected the existing site conditions prior to submitting their bid. The Surety Company must be authorized to do business in the State where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. Satisfactory proof of authorization to sign on behalf of the company is required. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in awarding the contract, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularity in bidding. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bid if reasonable, and if it is in the interest of the Owner to accept it. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. Attention of bidders is called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and Federal prevailing wage rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3 of the 1968 Housing Act, Segregated Facility, Section 109 of the 1974 Housing and Community Development Act, Executive Order 11246, and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Owner encourages minority and women owned businesses to submit bids.
