Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to 5 percent of the base bid amount with the bid. Bid security shall be payable to the North Scott Community School District. Bid security shall be in a separate envelope labeled "Bid Security" The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the owner. All bidders must comply with applicable Iowa laws on public projects. Prime Contractor shall attend bi-weekly project meetings. Attendance is required at all meetings as sent out by Construction Manager to coordinate each trades work. 2. Prime Contractor shall provide background checks as required by state of Iowa for each person working on site. 3. Prime contractor shall provide all firestopping and fire caulking as required for their scope of work. 4. Prime Contractor shall complete daily reports each day and submit to construction manager. This shall include, at a minimum, on site manpower, inspections, and other events. 5. Include all field measurements to ensure materials will fit properly. Allow for typical construction tolerances. 6. Prime Contractor to include cutting and patching as required to execute scope of work. 7. Provide all layout required for this scope of work. 8. Provide all temporary facilities required for this scope of work. 9. Prime Contractor shall protect and preserve other Contractors' work, as well as all property of Owner and other entities not identified as part of construction in the Bid Documents. 10. Prime Contractor shall be responsible for loading, unloading, freight charges, and handling of all materials associated with its Work along with restoration, at its expense, of temporary or permanent subgrades, surfaces, protection, enclosures, disturbed by delivery, loading, unloading, handling, and hoisting. 11. Costs associated with re-testing and/or re-inspecting work that fails to comply with the contract documents will be charged to Prime Contractor. Prime Contractor shall cooperate fully with the independent testing and inspection agent to satisfy the Special Inspection requirements. 12. Prime Contractor shall plan to mobilize multiple times, if necessary, to complete its Work. 13. Prime Contractor shall clean up daily and dispose of excess waste materials and debris generated from its own Work. 14. Prime Contractor shall be responsible for keeping all streets, parking lots, and sidewalks clean from debris and mud as it pertains to its own Work. This shall include all contractor's vendors and subcontractors. 15. Prime Contractor shall provide construction layout, staking and surveying as required for the work. 16. Prime Contractor shall excavate and backfill its own work, along with any dewatering and temporary protection to protect the public, owner or other contractors from open excavations required to complete the work. 17. Prime Contractor shall immediately report to Bruce Builders damage to SWPPP measures in place. Prime Contractor shall be responsible for temporary protection and erosion control as required for their work. Prime Contractor shall be responsible for repair of damages to temporary erosion control measures that may be put in place as a result of their work. 18. Prime Contractor shall deliver/ turn over all attic stock items required by the specifications to the owner and at a location designated, by the owner. 19. Prime Contractor shall maintain an accurate set of As-Built Drawings throughout the duration of the project. The as-built drawings shall accurately show any and all deviations from the bid documents (e.g., deviations related to location, elevation, orientation, etc.). 20. Prime Contractor shall supply and install materials (as it pertains to its Work) for all mock-up(s) called out in contract documents
