Turner Construction will receive Statements of Qualification (also referred to as Preapproval Forms herein) for construction of Duane Banks Baseball Stadium Renovation in Iowa City, Iowa. The project consists of renovation of the existing Duane Banks Baseball Stadium at the University of Iowa. Upgrade of site utilities to support an expansion of the seating bowl, press box and support areas. Renovated areas to receive selective MEP upgrades & interior finishes. The project is located at: Duane Banks Baseball Stadium Renovation 960 Evashevski Drive Iowa City, Iowa 52246 02.01 Demolition - Phased demolition scope includes portions of existing fencing, selective demo of press box & precast seating bowl, existing seating, railings, ramps, selective demo of doors/frames, CMU walls, entrance pavilions. Protection of surrounding substrates. Temporary fall protection. 03.01 Building & Structural Concrete - New footings/foundations for seating bowl expansion steel, misc slab patching for access to this scope of work, CMU walls for new restrooms, elevator lobby, concessions area, SOG and SOMD in re-worked spaces, bleacher access ramps. Sidewalks and paving. 05.01 Structural Steel & Misc. Metals - Structural steel framing system & decking for seating bowl/press box expansion. Handrails, misc metal components. 12.01 Bleacher Seating - New aluminum bleacher seating for expanded seating bowl on the wings. 13.01 Grandstands - Metal decking system for entirety of new seating bowl, installed over portions of existing precast concrete. 31.02 Special Foundations - Delegated design for improvement for main field and surrounding areas. 32.01 Athletic Turf - Turf removal and replacement for main field and surrounding areas. Any/all questions are to be submitted electronically . Questions can be submitted at any time but must be submitted no later than 12:00 PM on October 25, 2023. Responses to questions received will be published as a clarification document and posted by 5:00 PM on October 27, 2023. The Construction Manager and/or Owner will review, and score submitted Preapproval Forms based upon an objective scoring process and statutory criteria. Submissions meeting or exceeding minimum scoring criteria shall be deemed as an approved bidder for the project. The Construction Manager and/or Owner retain the right to reject any/all submission documents if documentation is deemed flawed, incomplete, or insufficient to properly score.
