Cottage Avenue Sewer Replacement Project Estimated Cost $261,000 The work of this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform excavation and removal of approximately 220 linear feet of 8-inch asbestos cement pipe and replaced with 220 linear feet of 8-inch PVC and the replacement of three (3) sewer services, totaling approximately 77 linear feet of 6-inch PVC or DI and installation of 4-inch minimum compacted thickness of temporary bituminous concrete and repairing sections of berm and sidewalks. Scope of work includes a base bid and one additive alternate for milling and overlaying the entirety of Cottage Avenue All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be received in writing by the Town of Danvers, 1 Burroughs Street, Danvers MA 01923 Attn: Stephen King, P.E., at least ten days before the date herein set for the opening of bids Question Deadline 10/30/2023 1. Excavate and remove the existing asbestos concrete (lined with cured-in-place pipe) sewer, approximately 220 linear feet, and properly dispose of it. 2. Relay approximately 220 linear feet of sewer, and Five (5) sewer services (between the main and back of sidewalk). 3. Pave the sewer trench with 3-inches of binder. 4. After a period of at least 90 days, mill the entirety of Cottage Avenue and overlay with permanent pavement.
