SCOPE OF WORK NBU anticipates the following items will be included in the Project scope of work: (i) construction of approximately 8,300 LF of 16-inch and 24-inch water main line including trenching/backfill, trench safety, fittings, valves, connections, and other appurtenances, generally from the intersection of Lark Lane and Chaparral Drive to Westpointe Drive in New Braunfels, Texas 78130; (ii) preparation of right-of-way including clearing and grubbing and construction staking; (iii) storm water pollution prevention; (iv) groundwater control; (v) traffic control; (vi) tree protection/removal/replacement; (vii) site restoration; and (viii) all other appurtenances necessary to complete the Project. The Project will be located at the intersection of Lark Lane and Chaparral Drive and travel northeastward along Lark Lane, Forest Trail, Timber Wild to a connection at Westpointe Drive in Comal County and New Braunfels, Texas 78130. Question Deadline 10/26/2023 at 4:00 PM CT The projected completion date is estimated to be Three Hundred and Thirty (330) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date. NBU reserves the right to phase the construction of the Project or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the NBU Board or staff due to modifications in scope. Each bid must be accompanied by an approved Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid cost, in compliance with Texas Water Code Section 17.183, payable to NBU without recourse, as a guarantee bidder will enter into a contract at the stated price. The successful bidder must execute 100% performance and payment bonds on the forms provided within ten (10) days after the contract has been awarded.
