Q & A deadline: Nov 10, 2023 5:00:00 PM EST The Engineering and Project Management Division (EPMD) of the Public Utilities Department (PUD) has program areas funded annually for the evaluation and upgrading of the Water Systems throughout Collier County. Due to the age and condition of the Public Utilities water infrastructure along Vanderbilt Beach Road from the Carica Pump Station to the east right of way limit of Airport Pulling Road, then south along Airport Pulling Road to Pine Ridge Road, a program has been established to systematically replace the existing aging water systems and install new water transmission systems. The purpose of this solicitation is to select a qualified engineering firm to provide design services included in the scope below for the Vanderbilt Beach Road and Airport Pulling Road Transmission Water Main Improvements project.This work also includes coordinating with other PUD staff and Growth Management Division (GMD) staff when applicable, to complete the construction of CCWSD transmission water infrastructure projects in this area. The proposing firm's designated staff (and their alternates) shall have experience providing water design services, understand Collier County Utilities Standards Manual, and be familiar with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) requirements. The transmission water main work within the project area includes or may include various quantities of the following components: Transmission water mains, valves, hydrants and other appurtenances. Wastewater Irrigation Quality Electrical and SCADA Storm Water improvement and treatment concepts, quantity attenuation, storage and runoff rate management and reduction Roadway Pathway/sidewalk Landscaping Ancillary repair and replacement Coordination with other construction projects within and adjacent to the project area designed by other professionals for other Collier County Departments Other utility relocations At this time, the construction projects anticipated for this contract include the following, which may occur concurrently, sequentially, or as funding is available: Vanderbilt Beach Road Transmission Water Main Improvements Airport Pulling Road Transmission Water Main Improvements
