Old Hancock Trail is a US Army Corps of Engineers area located at the end of Hancock Road in Comal County. The area to be cleaned in this contract includes the Canyon lake shoreline at Old Hancock Trail and surrounding area starting at the parking lot of the trail: from the butter blocks surrounding the parking lot to the pipe rail behind the butter blocks and 5 feet, as reachable past the pipe rail; including the 112 feet of the main trail leading to the beach area and 10 feet on either side the trail and approximately 500 feet to the left, NORTH, and 500 feet to the right, SOUTH. The Contractor shall pick up all trash on the ground over the entire surface area from the waterline to ten feet past the mowed line on the beach area. (Map Attached) Thirty clean-ups (once each week): fifteen weeks of clean up shall be performed from May 28th, 2023, start date to end date of September 8th, 2023. Additional cleanups of area may be authorized by WORD at regular per cleanup bid price. WORD reserves the right to modify the number of days as necessary. WORD reserves the right to accept or reject in part or in whole any bids submitted and to waive any technicalities for the best interest of WORD. Lowest bid price shall be a factor, but not the sole factor, in all award decisions. Contracts will be awarded based on an overall assessment of the following factors: Bid price, Qualified experience, contract approach, and local ownership/staffing. Bids may be withdrawn at any time prior to the Official Opening. After the Official Opening, bids may not be amended. Packaging a bid for multiple contracts will not be accepted for this contract.
