Work at the site consists of the reconstruction of the existing Union Wharf on Lake Winnipesaukee in Tuftonboro, NH. The existing wharf is approximately 200 feet in length with an average width of 29 feet. The reconstructed wharf is to be designed and constructed such that it meets HS-25 Load Rating and is consistent with ACOE EM 1110-2-1614. The Work generally includes turbidity control, partial removal/disposal of existing wharf as needed, approximately 400 linear feet of sheet piling, cross ties, tie off piles, geotextile fabric, select backfill, 6 foot wide x 200 foot long wooden walkway, in-kind replacement of existing electrical service on the wharf, and other miscellaneous work needed to reconstruct the wharf. The reconstructed wharf shall be constructed in compliance with Wharf Repair Plans for Union Wharf on lands of The Town Of Tuftonboro, dated May 2022, prepared by Headwaters Consulting, LLC. All Work is also to be completed in compliance with NHDES Standard Dredge and Fill Permit, File Number: 2022-01721 (see Special Conditions for a copy of this Permit). 1. The Final Completion date for the Work is May 17, 2024. Award for the Work shall be issued approximately one week after Bids are opened. 2. Liquidated Damages shall be $2,500.00 per day, calculated as calendar days, from the date of Final Completion, May 17, 2024. Time is of the essence for the Final Completion of the Work. 3. Each General Bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price. 4. The successful Bidder must furnish 100% Performance and Payment Bonds, and will be required to execute the Contract Agreement within 10 days following notification of the acceptance of his Bid. 5. No Bidder may withdraw a Bid within 30 days after the actual date of opening thereof. 6. A pre-bid meeting will not be held for this project. 7.
