The Department of General Services (DGS), Real Estate Services Division (RESD), Project Management and Development Branch (PMDB), is requesting submittals from professional Soil & Geotechnical Engineering firms for a retainer contract(s) that will be used on an as-needed basis for various projects to be described in future Task Orders to the original Agreement. The services to be provided shall include, but not be limited to providing and or preparing: * Field investigations * On-site geotechnical investigations. * Geological evaluations and testing. * Engineering geologic reports, geotechnical reports, and supplemental ground-response reports. * Recommendations for foundation stability for structures and improvements. * Review of plans and specifications to ensure compliance with geotechnical recommendations. * Inspection of foundation construction to ensure compliance with geotechnical report. prepare electronic and hard copy plans on an as-needed basis. Related services may include but not be limited to providing hazardous material assessments, surveys, reports, abatement design plans/specifications, cost estimates and air monitoring associated with the above work. Consultants work may also require the participation of other engineering related disciplines such as architecture, civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural. All work shall be performed under and approved by a design professional, or contractor, licensed in the State of California which meet the requirements of Government Code Section 4529.5 for management and supervision of work performed on State construction projects. The estimated retainer contract value is $5,000,000.00. The estimated duration of this contract will be five (5) years. Various projects will be assigned within the geographic regions shown in Attachment A California Regional Map. The estimated cost of projects is unknown. This is the preferred point of contact.
