Fayette County Public Schools is soliciting requests for proposals for air purifiers without filters for approximately 4,000 units for classrooms and other spaces to improve health and safety and impact attendance for staff and students. Manufacturers must be a reputable company in the indoor air quality industry and must demonstrate capabilities and pertinent studies to include capture efficiency of airborne particles and air treatment methods for cold viruses, strep, norovirus, influenza, COVID-19 and other germs. Specifications: 1. Portable air purifiers 2. Medical grade not consumer grade 3. Demonstrates 99% effectiveness against staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), aspergillus Niger, and MS2 bacteriophage. 4. CARB tested and certified 5. Able to plug into standard 110v power outlet 6. Effective for spaces of at least 800 spare feet 7. Units should be user-friendly - meaning plug and go or similar structure 8. Units should be wall mountable 9. Units should not require external contractor-provider for installation by vendor or district 10. Units should be filter filter-free & no replacement parts needed (filters, bulbs, etc.) 11. No more than 48 decibels at maximum setting 12. No more than 12lbs per unit 13. Use 20 watts of electricity or less on max setting 14. Minimum of a 3-year warranty 15. Delivery in full with 72 hours of PO issuance Proposals may be returned by United States Postal Service, hand delivered or by any commercial carrier. Please note the Purchasing office is in a separate building from the district mail room and there could be a delay in getting responses sent by mail. It is not recommended to overnight responses as they may not arrive by the deadline. It is the company's responsibility to ensure the proposal arrives at the specified location by the date and time of the bid opening. Proposals should not be addressed to a specific person. The FCPS Purchasing Office is closed and does not accept mail, commercial carriers or hand delivered bids on weekends and Holidays. Regular hours are 7:00AM to 3:00PM Eastern Time.
