1.1 Supply details related to questions and information gathering on building condition assessments as per specifications. 1.2 Provide detailed specifications with submission. 1.3 Provide estimated pricing with submission response The University is interested in gathering initial information and budgetary pricing related to building condition assessments for our residences. Like most post-secondary institutions in Canada, Mount Allison has an aging, historic campus with significant deferred maintenance. The University does not currently have a good understanding of the conditions of its residential facilities. The Facilities Management department has limited resources to allocate to assessment of facilities condition. As a result, the University seeks to partner with a consultant who can assist the University to assess its residence system (including a dining hall), develop a prioritized residence capital plan and provide benchmarks with data from other similar institutions to support current and future capital funding decision making. Proponents should note: Harper Hall, the university's 2 nd largest residences, is currently undergoing a major renovation and is scheduled to reopen in Summer 2024. Mount Allison believes that a major renovation or, at least a renewal of building systems and certain spaces, is needed at Edwards House very soon, but there is uncertainty about the necessity for it (i.e.: are the beds needed to meet our goals) or what style of residence is needed moving forward (i.e.: room type, amenities, etc.). Mount Allison operates a small residence community consisting of 4 buildings: 3 small, historic "satellite" residences on York Street, and 1 newly renovated residence building on Charlotte Street. We are seeking to explore the long-term viability of these residences. 1. The Consultant will be fully responsible for the review and consolidation of information from existing drawings, reports, and evaluations to be included in the analysis. 2. Facilities professionals will subsequently conduct a visual inspection of all identified components within the following major categories. Subcategories within should be suggested within the response. Compliance/Accessibility Electrical Exterior Shell Grounds HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) Interior Shell Mechanical Primary Cooling Primary Heating Plumbing 3. Interviews with key university personnel The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
