A. The project consists of all necessary prep to perform the indicated work in the following areas: Warren Woods Middle School 1. Removal and replacement of existing hardware where indicated. Administration Building/Hawthorn Center 1. Removal and replacement of existing hardware where indicated. Briarwood Elementary School 1. Removal and replacement of existing hardware where indicated. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, or a satisfactory Surety Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price as guaranty. No bid shall be considered unless it is accompanied by the required guaranty. A single lump sum proposal is being entertained for the work of this proposal. The undersigned acknowledges he/she has included the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) A. After award of contract the schedule will be finalized with the successful bidder and the Warren Woods Public Schools, Facilities and Operations Dept. B. Asbestos may be present and if found will be abated by the Owner. There will be no extra costs allowed due to the time required by the Owner for abatement. Work at the Warren Woods Middle School, Administration Building/Hawthorn Center and Briarwood shall start immediately upon award of work (anticipated November 2023, with completion of work by June 28, 2024). The right to accept and/or reject any and all proposals and to waive any and all informalities and/or irregularities in bid proposals submitted during the bidding process is reserved by the Owner, which right may be exercised at the sole discretion of the Owner. The bid shall be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationship that exists between the Owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the School Board, or the Superintendent of Schools. The Owner will not accept a bid that does not include this sworn and notarized disclosure statement.
