The City of Simi Valley, Department of Public Works, Maintenance Division is soliciting bids from authorized sellers, merchants, and/or vendors for the purchase of drought tolerant plants and materials for an existing turf renovation project. A detailed description of the plants, materials, and quantities requirements are provided under Detailed Bid Specifications, which will be purchased throughout the duration of the contract term. The term for this contract will begin on the effective day entered through June 30, 2024, with an option to renew for one (1) additional one (1) year term. All questions concerning the bid document should be directed to the Maintenance Superintendent, Department of Public Works, at (805) 583-6450. All prospective bidders shall abide by the provisions of the Bid-Terms and Conditions listed in the project's specifications. The City reserves the right to retain all proposals for a period of 60 days after the bid opening date for examination and comparison and to delete any portion of the work from the Contract. . The City reserves the right to determine and waive Non substantial irregularities in any proposal, to reject any. or all proposals, to reject one part of a proposal and accept the other. The bid shall be balanced so that each bid item is priced to carry its share of the cost of the work and also its share of the contractor's overhead and profit. The City reserves. the right to delete any bid item to the extent that the bid is qualified by specific limitation. An unbalanced bid shall be considered as grounds for rejecting the entire bid. The City further reserves the right to make award to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder as the interest of the City may require.
