Through this Request for Quotation (RFQ), the Regional District of Central Okanagan seeks quotations from suitably qualified concrete contractors to supply and install a concrete pad at the Equipment Bay within the KLO Operations yard, 1450 KLO Rd, Kelowna BC, V1W 3Z4. The Regional District is seeking a qualified and experienced contractor to supply and install approximately 74 square meters of 150mm thickness concrete minimum with rebar to support the weight of heavy equipment such as a skid steer loader. The Work shall include, but not be limited to the following: .1 Supply, form, place and light broom finish 74 square metre concrete pad with rebar supports. .2 Work shall be performed in accordance with MMCD (Master Municipal Construction Documents) 2009 Specification Section 03 30 20 (available at mmcd.net). .3 Contractor shall obtain RDCO Contract Administrator’s approval of formwork prior to placing concrete. .4 Contractor shall perform any necessary base preparation with base materials (Confirm existing materials are adequate). .5 Concrete mix to meet MMCD 2009 Section 03 30 20 specifications and Contractor is responsible for completing compressive strength testing. .6 Install control joints at required distance. Control joints to be clean and straight. .7 Contractor to ensure appropriate cold weather measures are taken as required. .8 Concrete to be broom finished and edges to be bull nosed.
