Adjacent to the existing server room, BCEHS is planning to construct a new server room for the NG911 equipment. The room will require a new UPS unit with N+1 redundancy to enhance system reliability, a new cooling system, and all required electrical connections to the new UPS system, generator, and equipment, as well as security and finishes. The proponent must verify connectivity paths between entrance closets and server rooms, confirm space requirements for equipment and rack installation and determine if network paths permit running network connections directly to NG911 equipment to improve reliability. TIMELINE: Request for Proposal to provide professional Architectural Consulting and professional Engineering services as required with respect to the design and construction of the Project is underway. The anticipated scope for planning Pre-Design, Schematic Design and Design Development is as follows: Confirm scope of work and schedule during the first meeting with the Client Team, including all milestone dates, interim meeting dates and Consultant coordination dates. Attend meetings with User/Stakeholders as required to confirm program needs. Facilitate regular coordination meetings with the Client and Consultant Team. Record and distribute meeting minutes to the Team and EHS Project Manager within three (3) days. Lead Stakeholder and Client review meetings for Schematic Design and Design Development. Prepare Schematic Design (SD) and Design Development (DD) Drawings. Work with the Owner's Cost Consultant to confirm the budget at key milestones, as required. Provide Value Engineering services due to scope changes and budget considerations as required. Tender & Award target completion date: May 3, 2024. Further update in late 2023,pending selection of a preferred proponent.
