The Purpose of This Request for Proposal is for the Selection of a General Contractor on Behalf of El Paso County Hospital District D/b/a University Medical Center of El Paso, (Hereinafter Umc). the General Contractor Will Be Responsible for the Requisite Material, Labor, Equipment and Services Necessary for the Construction Project to Renovate an Existing Imaging Suite to Accommodate New X-ray & Fluoroscopy Equipment. Reference Exhibit B for Scope of Work. the Selection of the Firm Will Be at the Sole Discretion of Umc About Which Offeror's Proposal Provides the Best Value to Umc Based on the Evaluation Factors Set Forth in Section 4 Herein. Each Proposal must be accompanied by the Surety Company Bond, Cashier s Check, or a bank Certified Check, in the sum of not less than Five Percent (5%) of the maximum Proposal Amount, payable to University Medical Center of El Paso, with the understanding that the Offeror will not withdraw his Proposal for a period of thirty (30) day after the dates set for the Owner receipt of Proposals on the project. Question Deadline 11/07/2023 at 2:00 PM MT Responses Due November 21,2023 by 2:00PM MT The Contractor shall furnish and pay for a good and approved Surety Bond for the full amount 100% of the Contract price as a Payment and Performance Bond. These bonds shall be with a company satisfactory to the Owner, and shall be accompanied by the Surety Power of Attorney. El Paso County Hospital District reserves the right to award or cancel this process at any time.
