Reference Number 0000332976 The intention of this Request for Proposal is to select a Consultant to conduct a comprehensive qualitative Risk evaluation of dams owned and operated by Aurora Water (AW). It is anticipated that we will utilize inspection data, a review of the State Engineers Office (SEO) records, as well as the Aurora Water (AW) files to understand the behavior of the dam, as well as the design and history of modifications to the dam. The Consultant will use this information to perform a comprehensive Qualitative Risk Assessment of the dams, updated hydrological modeling, the Population at Risk (PAR), dam break analysis, inundation mapping, consequence of failure to assign risk. This information can then be used to prioritize funding for minor and major items to enhance the safety of AW's dams. The baseline condition assessment would also help educate AW dam tenders for what to look for on each dam because of the different conditions associated with its own unique problems/conditions.
