Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 11/03/2023 11:00 AM (PDT) Ontario Municipal Utilities Company (OMUC) is requesting a fee proposal from Consultants for providing design services for the Design Services for Edison Avenue and Bon View Avenue Water Improvements and Bon View Avenue Sewer Improvements (UT1079) project. The Consultant shall complete a single preliminary design report, two separate improvement construction bid packages, and provide bidding support for: o Water Improvements - 0.5-mile, 12-inch potable water main in Edison Avenue between Bon View Avenue and Grove Avenue, where it will be connected to an existing 30-inch transmission main located on Grove Avenue; a 0.5-mile, 12-inch potable water main in Bon View Avenue between Edison Avenue and the Eucalyptus Avenue, where it will connect at an existing 12-inch water main stub out north of the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Bon View Avenue; o Sewer Improvements - 0.5 mile, approximately 30 feet to 35 feet deep, 18-inch sewer main in Bon View Avenue between Edison Avenue and the Eucalyptus Avenue, where it will be connected to an existing 18-inch sewer manhole north of the intersection of Eucalyptus Avenue and Bon View Avenue. These proposed water and sewer mains will support the future development of Fire Station No. 11 located at the intersection of Bon View Avenue and Edison Avenue. Please refer to the Site Exhibit (Attachment 1). Right-of-way (R/W) Analysis: There is limited development along the specified corridors for these proposed water and sewer mains. To accommodate future planned development and existing infrastructure, the existing R/W limits may need to be widen to the ultimate planned limits. The Consultant will conduct an analysis of all the impacted properties where R/W limits must be widened if the mains were to be constructed at their ultimate location. If the preferred alignment of the proposed 12-inch water mains and 18-inch sewer main requires immediate R/W or easement procurement, an optional task will be executed to conduct appraisal and acquisition of those areas. The execution of this optional task will be contingent upon the design and construction schedule for Fire Station No. 11. Based on this R/W analysis, City will determine the best alignment to proceed with following the completion of the PDR and prior to the start of design for the construction bid packages.
