Electrical Repairs and Related Work Penthouse 1 for South Suburban College. All Bidders Must Be Pre-qualified. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond for an Amount Not Less Than Ten Percent (10%) of the Total Amount of the Bid, as a Guarantee That the Bidder, if Awarded the Contract, Will Furnish a Satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond, Execute the Contract and Proceed With the Work. A 100% Performance Bond and a Labor/material Bond Will Be Required of the Successful Bidder, Written by a Surety Approved by the Owner. Upon Failure to Do So, the Bidder Shall Forfeit the Amount Deposited as Liquidated Damages and No Mistakes or Errors on the Part of the Bidder Shall Excuse the Bidder or Entitle Him to a Return of the Aforementioned Amount. This Bid Opportunity Contains an Objective to Include Businesses Owned and Controlled by Minorities, Females, and Persons With Disabilities in the College's Procurement and Contracting Processes in Accordance With the State of Illinois' Business Enterprise for Minorities, Females, and Persons With Disabilities Act (30 Ilcs 575). Compliance With All Requirements of the Laws of the State of Illinois Shall Be Mandatory. These Requirements Shall Include, but Are Not Limited to, Payment of the Prevailing Wage Including Fringe Benefits for Labor on the Work to Be Done, the Provisions of All State of Illinois and Federal Laws Concerning Public Works Projects, the State of Illinois Human Rights Act, and the Regulations of the Illinois Human Rights Commission. The Board of Trustees, Community College District #510, South Holland, Illinois, Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject Any or All Bids and Award the Bid in the Manner That Best Serves the Interests of the Owner.
