Construction of New Douglass Community Center Building & Pool. All bonds to jurisdictional agencies utilities, storm water management, land disturbance, and grading and All performance and payment bonds and general liability insurance. Liquidated Damages. If the Scope of Work is not substantially complete by the Substantial Completion Date, the Design-Builder shall be subject to liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per day. These damages shall not apply if the delay is the result of Force Majeure and the Design-Builder otherwise complies with the provisions set forth in the Standard Contract Provisions. Department agrees to such proposed date, such proposed date will be deemed by the Department as the contractual Substantial Completion Date for all purposes, including liquidated damages. Scope of Work Under this RFP, the Department will engage a Design-Builder to provide any and all design, permitting and construction including, but not limited to, temporary utilities, public art installation, furniture, fixtures, equipment and coordination, move-in logistical support for a fully functional turn-key Project. The Project shall be complete, operating, and ready for use on or before the Substantial Completion Date and within the Project Budget as specified in Part 1, Section 1.3, and Section 1.5 of this RFP. The Department intends to implement the Project through a design-build approach. The scope of work for the Project Scope of Work will be divided into two phases i) the design and preconstruction phase and (ii) the construction phase.
