Email: jbyrum@nueces-ra.org Authority responses to questions or addendums November 1, 2023 @ 5:00 PM, CST The specifications contained herein shall be construed as the minimum acceptable standards for the project. All exceptions or equivalencies must be clearly labeled, fully explained, or documented, and included on a separate sheet of paper with your response. The selected respondent is responsible for the overall approach of design and specifications of the project. The selected respondent will be required to work in conjunction with Authority staff throughout the project and shall meet as requested to resolve any issues/problems that may occur. Selected respondent shall be responsible for providing all necessary components, including but not limited to, equipment, mechanical material, electrical material, all labor, miscellaneous materials, subcontract costs and any other items required and/or necessary in order to provide a complete task described below. Tasks may be conducted in any order as deemed to provide for efficiency and necessity. Task A: The consultant shall review the Engineering Feasibility Report completed for the Authority in August of 2023. The report assessed the area wastewater needs and the feasibility of a regional treatment facility. Task B: Provide design and specification services for a 6.0 MGD wastewater treatment facility to be located on property owned by the Nueces River Authority. Task C: Provide the services required to complete and submit and obtain approval of permits needed for facilities. Task D: Provide technical assistance during the procurement process conducted by the Nueces River Authority for obtaining contractor(s) for construction of improvements by interpreting and answering technical questions with respect to the drawings and specifications. Task E: Provide technical assistance during the construction by answering questions, reviewing and approving submittals, for construction process. Task F: Provide design and specification services for converting structures at existing wastewater plants to provide for flow equalization during periods of wet weather. Task G: Provide design services for any needed wastewater conveyance systems needed to transport wastewater from plants being replaced by the regional facility. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all responses submitted, or to award to the respondent who, in the Authority's opinion, offers the best value to the Authority. The Authority also reserves the right to cancel the RFQ process and pursue alternate methods for providing therequirements.
