Alternative Contracting Method Exemption: Design-Build Firefighter Recruit Academy Training Facility Question Deadline 10/26/2023 at 2:00 PM PT Proposer must become familiar with the entire RFP. All questions and comments about this RFP must be directed ONLY in writing to Eric Wicks, Purchasing Manager via email to Eric.Wicks@tvfr.com. TVF&R is requesting that its Local Contract Review Board (Board of Directors) authorize an exemption from the traditional competitive bidding requirements of ORS 279C.335 to utilize a Design-Build best value/performance based alternative contracting method to award a public improvement contract for a firefighter recruit academy training facility. A public hearing is required for the purpose of taking public comment from interested parties regarding the exemption approval. TVF&R will hold a public hearing at 2:00 PM Friday October 20, 2023, at 11945 SW 70th Ave, Tigard, OR. Interested parties must request a copy of the findings prior to the hearing by contacting the TVF&R procurement and contracts administrator via e-mail at Eric.Wicks@tvfr.com or call 503-259-1157. The exemption request will be presented to the Local Contract Review Board for discussion and approval on October 24, 2023, at 3:00 PM. Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue (TVF&R) is seeking proposals from interested and qualified design-build entities (Proposer) under an innovative design-build program. Each Proposer shall demonstrate a high level of qualifications and experience with an excellent record of past performance to provide a build-to-suit firefighter recruit academy training facility (Project) located at the TVF&R Training Center at 12400 SW Tonquin Road, Sherwood.
